The copyist identified this composer simply asSturton; he was probably William Sturton, a singer in the royal household chapel in the early 1500s. The setting has as its cantus firmus the Gloria tibi trinitas chant used byJohn Taverner in one of his six-part Masses. For six voices: SATTBarB. x + 18 pages.
