Italian singer and composer Gregorio Allegri is probably best known for his setting of Miserere Mei, Deus, for nine voices. Edited here by George Guest, it is a relatively simple yet pleasing and satisfying work for mixed chorus, and this edition features the original Latin text, as well as the reciting notes helpfully written out in rhythm.
