Introducing the Platinum Project

We are honoured that Her Majesty the Queen is our Royal Patron.

To mark the Platinum Jubilee in June, we have specially commissioned a new choral piece: ‘In Our Service’ from Thomas Hewitt Jones.

Encouraging for all

The 4-minute anthem picks up themes of service and dedication and is deliberately written to be something which is really enjoyable to sing (and will have lasting value beyond the jubilee itself).

The Digital Downloads provide everything you need to learn the music with your choir. It contains music for Full SATB Choir, Unison Choir and a leadsheet for singers. All downloaded pdf files may be emailed to the members of your choir, or photocopied for them to use without further charge.

Rehearsal and backing tracks are available HERE.

Brass Parts to buy and Full Symphonic Orchestra Score and Parts are avail to hire here.

It is suitable for cathedral and church choirs, but also choral societies, chamber choirs, community choirs and schools.

Next steps for now

  1. Plan it into your schedule of music, ready to sing on or around the Jubilee weekend
  1. Share the invitation to join the initiative with all the choirs you know. Do it now – this is the moment!

Do, please, share with us how and when you use it – use the hashtags #RSCMplatinum #InOurService – and wherever you sing it we invite you to do so, in the words of the RSCM motto, ‘with the spirit, and with the understanding also’.
