Description Author Information

Brewer's Evening Service in D was commissioned for the Three Choirs Festival in 1927. It began life as an orchestral and choral conception. It was first sung at Hereford on 4 September 1927 when, accompanied by the Londond Symphony Orchestra, it was conducted by Brewer himself.
