Easter Story by Martin How – A Cantata for Chorus, Semi-chorus, Soloists and Organ with optional trumpet, timpani & violin. Revised Edition - February 2016. Easter Story was designed to bring together singers of different levels of experience thus encouraging outreach within a Diocese or RSCM Area. The semi-chorus would be the experienced group, perhaps an already established Choral Group or even the Cathedral Choir. It is also useful for a 'Come and Sing' event provided that there is an experienced and well-rehearsed semi-chorus to lead it. The Main Chorus would be the large contingent of singers brought together as for a a Festival occasion, would ideally have been given the chance of some previous rehearsal. Various well-known and already published items are included in the Cantata such as Day by Day, Fairest Lord Jesus, and Arise, Shine. There are well-know Easter Hymns for the congregation.
