We’ll be investigating the pleasures and challenges of getting youngsters to sing, taking a look at choosing repertoire and finding new ways of enthusing children, even those with no musical experience. We will have advice on expanding the vocal range, keeping music alive in a busy timetable, and using the singing experience to develop self-esteem and self-confidence. There will be tips on breaking out of chest voice and learning to split out into multiple parts. Something here for teachers, professionals and those who are just starting to explore the wonderful opportunities offered by singing. Led by Adrian Lucas, RSCM Head of Choral Music, with guest panellist Christopher Alsop, Assistant Director of Music, The King's School, Worcester
