"The Lift up your Voice strand of the RSCM’s work is aimed at encouraging congregations in their music where there is no established choir or experienced organist. How can we - as church members and singers/instrumentalists - use this time 'in the wilderness' and beyond to deepen our understanding of and effectiveness in our church work? How can we use music to help us? This week we will be looking at specific extracts of music, using video recordings made just before the lockdown, and considering ways they can be used in specific situations to encourage congregations in worship. We will also consider some general principles for leading a congregation musically, and introducing new repertoire and ideas."
