The song Mary sang after hearing the news that she was going to give birth to God’s Son. It is taken from Luke 1: 46–55
Another name for Morning Prayer.
The New Testament contains the last 27 books of the Bible and was written shortly after the time of Jesus. It includes the accounts of Jesus’ life and the early Church.
The song of Simeon, sung after he recognized Jesus as the Saviour of all people. Found in Luke 2: 29–32
Strangely, this has nothing to do with money! The Offertory is the presentation of the bread and wine for Communion at the altar. The collection of money during the service is an Offering!
The Old Testament contains the first 39 books of the Bible and dates from before the time of Jesus.
