Chasuble This is shaped like a Mexican poncho and, in
some churches, is worn over an alb and stole by the presiding priest at Holy Communion.
Cope The cope is a decorative version
of a cloak and
is worn on very special occasions, e.g. weddings, services of the word on important festivals, and in processions.
A bishop will often wear a cope, together with a hat called a mitre.
