                                  The Organ
one keyboard or manual for extra possibilities and for extra power (the sounds of the different keyboards can be linked together).
Organs can have 1, 2, 3, 4 or even 5 manuals (the world’s largest organs in the U.S.A even have 6 and in one case 7 manuals!)
If you look down on the floor of the console, you will probably see a keyboard for the feet. These outsized wooden keys, called the pedals, have their own sounds or stops. They provide mostly the bass or lowest notes of the music and need to be played with especially light shoes so that the organist can feel the notes without having to look down too often.
