                                  The Organ
Learning to play the organ
Perhaps you want to learn the organ? If you’re not entirely sure that it’s the right instrument for you, you could try booking just a few lessons before you commit to it. As with any musical instrument, it takes a while at first to progress but you will improve if you practice carefully and regularly.
Some organ teachers will take on young people with no or little keyboard experience, whilst others will take on people after about Grade 5 level piano. If you can’t find a good, local organ teacher, visit one of the websites below*. There are also websites which can give you more information on all aspects of the organ.

Mozart called the organ “the king of instruments” – perhaps you might agree with him as you get to learn more about it!
