Opinion is divided over its authorship: is it by the William Cornysh who was Master of Westminster AbbeyÔÇÖs Lady Chapel choir between 1479 and 1491 and then a Gentleman of the Royal Household Chapel until his death in 1502, or by a namesake who was Master of the Children in the same chapel until he died in 1523?
